On Wednesday, June 24, Port Authority Police Officer Eccleston noticed smoke coming from a hotel shuttle bus on the departure level of Newark Liberty International Airport’s Terminal A. Eccleston made notifications and responded to the bus.
Fortunately, there were no passengers aboard, and the driver was able to escape without injury. Eccleston secured the area and requested fire and additional police assistance to reroute traffic. The Elizabeth, New Jersey, Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
