Rest in peace, Creek County, Oklahoma, Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Heitman (EOW July 15, 2026).
Deputy Heitman and his K-9 partner were part of a team serving a warrant on a suspect wanted for assaulting a police officer. During the warrant service, the suspect fled. Deputy Heitman and his K-9 partner pursued and apprehended the suspect. A short time later, Heitman suffered a medical emergency and died.
He was 38 years old and had served with the Creek County Sheriff’s Office for four years. He previously served with the Kiefer Police Department. Deputy Heitman was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
