The Port Authority PBA thanks the New York State Legislature for passing, and Governor Kathy Hochul for signing into law, bills honoring three fallen Port Authority police officers by naming streets in memory of their sacrifice.
Police Officer Arthur M. Ansert (EOW October 8, 1973) was fatally struck by a drunk driver while conducting a motor vehicle stop.
Police Officer Frederick G. Maley (EOW July 17, 2022) and Detective Thomas M. Inman (EOW April 12, 2020) succumbed to 9/11-related illnesses contracted during their heroic and selfless service in the toxic environment of the World Trade Center Rescue and Recovery.
The PBA appreciates New York State Senators Monica Martinez, James Sanders Jr. and Steven Rhoads, as well as New York State Assemblymembers Nily Rozic, Khaleel Anderson, Michael Durso and David McDonough, for championing these three bills. The PBA also thanks the PAPD and the Port Authority for recognizing the importance of preserving the legacy of our fallen heroes.
