On Friday, July 24, family and friends gathered at the Port Authority Police Academy in Jersey City to celebrate the graduation of 31 New York and New Jersey high school students from the Police Officer Anthony M. Varvaro Youth Police Academy.
Varvaro was killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2022, while reporting for his assignment at the 9/11 Memorial Remembrance Ceremony. Anthony’s mother, Paulette Varvaro, attended the ceremony to congratulate the Youth Academy graduates, alongside PBA, PAPD and agency leadership.
The Port Authority PBA wishes all of the graduates continued success in their future endeavors.
