On September 8, the Tunnel to Towers Steel Across America tour rolled into Washington, D.C., as it made its way back to New York City, nearing the end of its cross-country tour.
Steel Across America was met by members of the PAPD, PAPD Pipes and Drums, and the PAPD Honor Guard, along with members of many police departments, fire departments and first responder agencies.
The event featured President Donald J. Trump and Tunnel to Towers Founder and CEO Frank Siller.
Tunnel to Towers created a special truck on which an original Port Authority steel World Trade Center beam from the Twin Towers was placed. Since May, the Steel Across America tour has visited cities throughout the U.S. The tour ends on September 11 at the World Trade Center.
