Port Authority police arrest man after he allegedly stabs a co-worker

August 21, 2017 by PAPBA

Police responded to building 340 inside the airport at about 9 p.m. after they received a report that someone had been assaulted with a knife, according to Joe Pentangelo, senior police public information officer. When entering the building, police discovered a 48-year-old man with a deep puncture in his left arm and deep cut in his stomach.

The victim told police he and Dennis Jagoo, 51, argued and he fended off Jagoo with a metal rod. Jagoo fled the area before police arrived and the victim was taken to Newark Beth-Israel Hospital for treatment.

Port Authority police found Jagoo in a different area hospital after he drove himself there. Jagoo was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, and police found the knife in his car. He was taken to the Essex County Jail.
