The Police Academy Class 116A is composed of 38 men and two women who all have prior police experience, with 31 from the New York City Police Department, nine from various New Jersey police departments, including Paterson, Jersey City, Newark, Passaic, Roselle Park, Nutley and Hunterdon County.
One recruit is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
