The Port Authority Police Hispanic Society did a great job creating a back-to-school giveaway at New York City PS/IS 173M in Washington Heights. Society members collected back-to-school supplies for the PS/IS 173M students and their families. On September 5, 1983, while off-duty, Police Officer Scott Parker came to the aid of a woman who claimed to have been the victim of a robbery. The woman turned out not to be a victim but part of a robbery team. Read More

A crash on the New Jersey-bound Goethals Bridge Wednesday morning sent two people to the hospital. One of the injured was a box truck driver who required a tourniquet applied to his leg by a member of the Port Authority Police Department, sources said. Read More
