In Remembrance: Escambia Deputy Sheriff Jeremy Cassady

Rest in peace, Escambia, Florida, Deputy Sheriff Jeremy Cassady (EOW 7/15/2025).

On October 29, 2010, Deputy Cassady responded to a domestic violence incident. Once on scene, Deputy Cassady and two other deputies were shot by a suspect holding a female hostage as a shield. Deputy Cassady was critically wounded, losing both kidneys and suffering many medical issues during the ensuing years. He succumbed to his wounds on July 15, 2025.

Deputy Cassady had served with the Escambia Sheriff’s Office for six years. He was 50 years old and is survived by his wife.

Jeremy, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.
