On Wednesday, October 1, at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York City, Port Authority Police patrol, Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), and Emergency Service units responded to a taxiway collision between two regional jets. PAPD units evacuated both aircraft and secured the scene for investigation. No passengers reported injuries, though one flight attendant was transported to a hospital. The PAPD ARFF Unit is the nation’s largest and busiest aircraft rescue firefighting unit.
