On Wednesday, November 5, a stabbing in Harrison resulted in Harrison police officers pursuing six suspects. It was reported that one suspect was possibly armed with a handgun.
The foot pursuit led to mutual aid assistance from PAPD PATH Command officers, PAPD ESU Trucks 1 and 5, and New Jersey Transit police officers. Some suspects fled into the PATH transit system, causing approximately a 40-minute suspension of service on the NewarkâHarrison Line.
Harrison police officers apprehended several suspects, while one remained hidden in the PATH system. PAPD ESU and PATH officers were able to locate and apprehend the last suspect using PAPD ESU thermal imaging technology.
A great example of interagency cooperation by the PAPD, Harrison Police Department and the New Jersey Transit Police Department.
