In Remembrance: Retired PAPD Police Officer Edward J. Mulligan

The members of the Port Authority PBA were saddened to learn of the passing of retired Port Authority Police Officer Edward J. Mulligan on December 30, 2025.

Police Officer Mulligan had served the people of New York, New Jersey and the millions using Port Authority facilities daily with courage and dedication from April 1979 through December 2002. Prior to joining the PAPD, he had served with the Passaic Police Department for three years.

In retirement, he was an adjunct professor at Ramapo College and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Police Officer Mulligan is survived by his wife and many family members.

Ed, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. You will always be remembered.
