PAPD Officers Arrest Suspect, Recover Stolen Rental Vehicle

March 16, 2026 by 911MEDIA

Late Friday night, March 13, Port Authority police officers responded to a local car rental company in Jamaica on a report of a stolen vehicle. Police Officers Connor Hay, Ryan Ward and Brandon Busch gathered a description of the suspect and vehicle and began a canvass based on information provided by the rental company.

Officer Busch located the vehicle and suspect in the vicinity of North Conduit Avenue in Ozone Park. A felony car stop was conducted, and the suspect was taken into custody and the vehicle recovered.

The suspect was charged with Grand Larceny Auto 2° among other charges and will also answer for an outstanding warrant out of Brooklyn. A job well done by Officers Hay, Ward and Busch.
