The Port Authority PBA is saddened by the passing of retired Port Authority Police Officer James J. Guinto.
Jimmy served with the Port Authority Police Department from October 8, 1973, through January 8, 1994, protecting the people of New York, New Jersey and the millions using Port Authority facilities daily. He spent many of those years as a Port Authority PBA delegate, passionately representing the police officers of the PAPD Bus Terminal Command.
He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran.
Jimmy leaves a lasting legacy as a great PBA representative, an outstanding person and a damn good cop.
Jimmy, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. You will never be forgotten.
