Port Authority officers rescue fawn stranded on New Jersey cliff

June 2, 2017 by PAPBA

Officers on duty on the George Washington Bridge walkway heard the fawn’s cries around 10:30 a.m. and found it in the area of the south side of the Palisades Cliffs.

Port Authority Officer Andrew Vignapiano retrieved the deer, while Officer Kevin Leonard secured the line from above.

The fawn was safely rescued and reunited with its mother at the scene.

There were no injuries.
