Port Authority Police Officer Rescues Toddler From Pool in Nassau

July 9, 2017 by PAPBA

After a long day at work at JFK Airport Sunday, Port Authority Police Officer Doreen Moran returned home in Merrick when she heard her neighbor scream.

She ran to the backyard to find that the neighbor’s 2-year-old son fell into a semi-ground pool. The boy was unresponsive, and Moran performed CPR until the fire department arrived.

The boy was taken to Nassau County Medical Center and is in stable condition. He has been moved to Cohen Children’s Hospital for overnight observation.
