On Sunday, September 28, in New York City, the Port Authority PBA Tunnel to Towers 5K Run and Walk Team raised more than $12,000 for Tunnel to Towers and its great mission.

Led by PBA Financial Secretary Brian Ahern and PBA Bus Terminal Command Delegate Bobby Pelc, the 150-member team of Port Authority cops, family and friends ran in memory of the 37 Port Authority police officers killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2001, at the World Trade Center, the 18 PAPD officers lost to post-9/11 illnesses and all who perished on that tragic day.

Port Authority PBA President Frank Conti joined uniformed members at the finish line to cheer on the runners, and the PBA hosted a post-race gathering at Monk McGinns, 57 Murray Street in Lower Manhattan, to thank all who participated and contributed — making it another successful year for the Port Authority PBA Team.
