On Thursday, November 6, a man with a violent criminal history brandished a firearm and threatened two young men near Journal Square in Jersey City. The victims quickly alerted Police Officers Philip Campo and James Gonzalez of the PAPD PATH Precinct, providing a description of the suspect. Campo and Gonzalez canvassed the area and located the suspect, who led them on a foot pursuit that ended with his apprehension inside an office building along the Jersey City waterfront. A loaded semi-automatic handgun, later confirmed to be stolen, was recovered.
