Prayers for Texas Senior Police Officer Alexandria Cano Castro After Line-of-Duty Shooting

January 26, 2026 by 911MEDIA

Prayers for Corpus Christi, Texas, Senior Police Officer Alexandria Cano Castro, who is in critical condition after being shot in the line of duty.

Officer Cano Castro and other officers were attempting to arrest a homicide suspect on Friday, January 23, when the suspect produced a handgun and opened fire. Officer Cano Castro was shot in the head. Two other officers were also shot and have since been released from the hospital.

Officer Cano Castro, 36, remains in the hospital’s intensive care unit, and it has been reported that her “road ahead is uncertain.”

The Port Authority PBA hopes for Officer Cano Castro’s complete recovery.
