In Remembrance: Oklahoma Sheriff’s Deputy Thomas LeMay

Rest in peace, LaFlore County, Oklahoma, Sheriff’s Deputy Thomas LeMay (EOW 4/19/2026).

Deputy LeMay and a Wister, Oklahoma, police officer were dispatched to conduct a welfare check on an individual at a residence near Wister. Upon arrival, they were met with a barrage of gunfire, initiating a four-hour gunfight. Deputy LeMay was fatally shot. The Wister officer was shot and wounded and is hospitalized in stable condition.

Deputy LeMay is survived by his daughter.

Thomas, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.
