On Monday, April 20, the Port Authority PBA was on scene providing support to the Boston Police Department and area law enforcement agencies for the 130th Boston Marathon and Patriots’ Day events.
Every year since the April 15, 2013, Boston Marathon bombing, the PBA has responded to Boston, setting up a comfort station for law enforcement officers working the marathon. Even during the April 2013 shootout in Watertown, the PBA relocated to that location, providing support for the officers pursuing the suspects.
This year, the PBA rolled out its new support vehicle, PBA Truck 1928. Truck 1928 is outfitted to provide support for PBA functions, PAPD mobilizations, funerals and other events requiring PBA assistance.
The PBA Boston Marathon support staff included Police Officers Cesar Morales, Brian Ahern, Shaun Kehoe, Nick Brucato, Tariq Abdool, Mike Bunero, TJ McPike, Vincent Ricci and Mike Ulaky.
