In Remembrance: Retired PAPD Police Officer Robert Vogt

The Port Authority PBA was saddened to learn of the passing of retired Port Authority Police Officer Robert Vogt on May 2.

Vogt began his PAPD career with his appointment on January 5, 1970, serving 20 years protecting the people of New York, New Jersey and the millions using Port Authority facilities daily. During his career, he served in the PAPD Lincoln Tunnel Command, Central Police Pool and Port Authority Police JFK Airport Command. He also served our nation in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War veteran.

Aside from his public service, he was the brother-in-law of fallen New York City firefighter Stephen Siller, who was killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2001, at the World Trade Center, and the brother-in-law of Frank Siller, founder of Tunnel to Towers.

Robert, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace.
