On May 5, police from throughout New York State gathered to honor fallen law enforcement officers at the State of New York Police Officers Memorial for the 2026 Remembrance Ceremony. The Port Authority Police Department Honor Guard, Pipes and Drums Band, and the Port Authority PBA joined many law enforcement units and New York Governor Kathy Hochul as the names of 56 fallen law enforcement officers were added to the memorial. The fallen are always honored and never forgotten by New York State law enforcement.
