On Friday, June 5, Port Authority police officers joined law enforcement officers from throughout New Jersey in the Annual Special Olympics New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run of 2026. The PAPD contingent ran the 6.5-mile section from Journal Square, Jersey City, to the Prudential Center in Newark. They were escorted by the PAPD Motorcycle Unit and various Hudson County law enforcement agencies.
