42nd Remembrance of Port Authority Police Officer Scott Parker

On September 5, 1983, while off-duty, Police Officer Scott Parker came to the aid of a woman who claimed to have been the victim of a robbery. The woman turned out not to be a victim but part of a robbery team.

Fallen Hero’s Wife Presents Art Exhibition

Maryanne Mezzacappa, wife of fallen PAPD Hero Police Officer Anthony Mezzacappa (EOW 5/14/2024), will present her art exhibition, The Art of Elsewhere, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in the Oceanic Free Library in Rumson, NJ. An artist reception will take place between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Port Authority Police officer applies tourniquet to victim at scene of Goethals Bridge truck-motorcycle crash

A crash on the New Jersey-bound Goethals Bridge Wednesday morning sent two people to the hospital. One of the injured was a box truck driver who required a tourniquet applied to his leg by a member of the Port Authority Police Department, sources said.

PAPD K-9 officers to enhance security at NY, NJ airports for Labor Day weekend

The TSA is predicting a record number of air travelers during this long Labor Day weekend. Part of the security you’ll see at the area airports are the K-9 officers of the Port Authority Police Department. The PAPD has more than 40 highly trained dogs that specialize in explosive and narcotics detection.
