In Remembrance of 9/11
As we approach the 24th remembrance of the September 11, 2001, attacks on America, we are mindful of all those who perished at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and aboard United Airlines Flight 93. The members of the Port Authority PBA especially remember and embrace the memories of the heroes they work in the shadows of: the 37 Port Authority police officers who were killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2001, so others may live.
Team Romeo Featured in American Police Beat

Adapted from a story published in the Winter 2024 issue of the PAPBA Report, it describes how 12 retired PAPD officers volunteered for the World Trade Center rescue and recovery effort despite procedural hurdles, selflessly risking exposure to the toxic environment in their effort to save lives and bring the fallen home.
