In Remembrance: PAPD Police Officer James Calandra

The Port Authority PBA always honors and remembers Police Officer James Calandra (EOW 11/19/1956). Police Officer Calandra was on motorcycle patrol when he was struck and killed by a vehicle changing lanes. He served with the Port Authority Police Department for 28 years. James, continue your peaceful rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.

The Port Authority PBA always honors and remembers PAPD Police Captain Richard Ruiz (EOW 11/18/2023). Captain Ruiz succumbed to a 9/11 illness contracted during his heroic and selfless work in the toxic environment of the World Trade Center Rescue and Recovery. Captain, continue your peaceful rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.

In Remembrance: Louisiana Police Officer Marc Brock

Rest in peace, Vivian, Louisiana, Police Officer Marc Brock (EOW 11/14/2025). Police Officer Brock and other officers were in the process of serving a search warrant, and as they approached the residence, they were met with gunfire. Police Officer Brock was fatally shot. He was 25 years old and known as a mentor to the children of Vivian, coaching baseball and football. He is survived by his fiancée and family. Marc, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.

In Remembrance: Indiana Sheriff’s Corporal Blake Reynolds

Rest in peace, Delaware County, Indiana, Sheriff’s Corporal Blake Reynolds (EOW 11/12/2025). Corporal Reynolds was struck and killed by a vehicle while assisting with a disabled vehicle. He was 31 years old and had served with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office for three years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Corporal Reynolds is survived by his wife. Blake, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.

On Tuesday, November 10, the Port Authority PBA joined the Yonkers PBA, the Police Conference of New York and many other New York police and fire unions at the Tier 6 Rally in Yonkers.
