PAPD WTC Command Holds Donation Drive

Port Authority Police Officer Devon Moses initiated a donation drive at the PAPD World Trade Center Command to support the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at the World Trade Center in providing food for those in need. Members of the PAPD WTC Command not only raised funds but also joined church parishioners on Tuesday, November 16, in preparing food bags for those who rely on the generosity and care of others. The Port Authority PBA thanks Officer Moses, his colleagues at the PAPD WTC Command, and Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church for their selfless community outreach.

In Remembrance: California Police Officer Alec Sanders

Rest in peace, Alhambra, California, Police Officer Alec Sanders (EOW 11/20/2025). Police Officer Sanders was struck and killed by a vehicle that was fleeing from police. He was 28 years old and had served eight months with the Alhambra Police Department. He had previously served one year with the Long Beach, California, Police Department. He is survived by his fiancée, two sisters and a brother. Alec, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.

In Remembrance: Florida Deputy Sheriff Terri Mashkow

Rest in peace, Indian River County, Florida, Deputy Sheriff Terri Mashkow (EOW 11/21/2025). Deputy Mashkow was fatally shot while serving an eviction order. She was 47 years old and had served with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office for 25 years. She is survived by her husband. Terri, rest in the Lord’ s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.

Gary Sinise Foundation Visits PAPD Bus Terminal Command

“While we can never do enough for our nation’s heroes, we can always do more.” Those are the words of Gary Sinise, the Hollywood actor who played Lieutenant Dan in the 1994 Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump. He visited the PAPD Bus Terminal Command with the Gary Sinise Foundation on Thursday, November 20. Sinise and foundation members provided and served lunch for Port Authority officers working the day and afternoon tours.

In Remembrance: PAPD Lieutenant William Doubraski

The Port Authority PBA always honors and remembers PAPD Lieutenant William Doubraski (EOW 11/23/2020). Lieutenant Doubraski succumbed to a 9/11 illness contracted during his heroic and selfless work in the toxic environment of the WTC Rescue and Recovery Mission. He had served with the PAPD for 30 years and was a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam War veteran. Lieutenant, continue your peaceful rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.

In Remembrance: Virginia Corrections Officer Jeremy Hall

Rest in peace, Virginia Corrections Officer Jeremy Hall (EOW 11/17/2025). Officer Hall was viciously attacked and killed by an inmate inside the River North Correctional Center in Independence, Virginia. Two other officers were also injured and hospitalized. He was 40 years old and had served with the Virginia Department of Corrections for one year and six months. Jeremy, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.
