Port Authority Police officer applies tourniquet to victim at scene of Goethals Bridge truck-motorcycle crash

A crash on the New Jersey-bound Goethals Bridge Wednesday morning sent two people to the hospital. One of the injured was a box truck driver who required a tourniquet applied to his leg by a member of the Port Authority Police Department, sources said.

PAPD K-9 officers to enhance security at NY, NJ airports for Labor Day weekend

The TSA is predicting a record number of air travelers during this long Labor Day weekend. Part of the security you’ll see at the area airports are the K-9 officers of the Port Authority Police Department. The PAPD has more than 40 highly trained dogs that specialize in explosive and narcotics detection.

Missing Juvenile Alert: Manchester, New Jersey

The Manchester Township Police Department is seeking public assistance locating 15-year-old Joseph Johnson. Joseph was last seen August 24, 2025, at 1 p.m. in the area of Laurel Place, Whiting, New Jersey wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, white and blue sneakers, and a black backpack.
