PAPD Officers Keep the GWB Market/Mercado Safe

The Market/Mercado has become a main street for the Washington Heights community, requiring the community policing efforts of the PAPD GWB Command. In Remembrance: Hays Police Sergeant Scott Heimann

Rest in peace, Hays, Kansas, Police Sergeant Scott Heimann (EOW 9/28/2025). Sergeant Heimann, 32, was shot and killed while responding to a barricaded suspect in a domestic violence incident. He had served with the Hays Police Department for nine years and is survived by his wife and two children. Sarge, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten. Read More

$18K: NJ Man Tried to Evade Tolls Using Socks: PAPD

A New Jersey man was arrested and charged after he tried to use a pair of socks to keep him from paying tolls, authorities said.
