The Port Authority PBA always honors and remembers Port Authority Police Officer Hitler M. McLeod (EOW 11/3/1961). Police Officer McLeod was shot and killed while taking police action during a robbery in progress. On Thursday, October 30, a tense standoff at LaGuardia Airport involving an armed man ended successfully thanks to the professionalism of Port Authority cops. At approximately 3 p.m., Police Officers Danny Sun and Joseph Picillo were working a plainclothes detail in Terminal B when they observed a man quickly brandish a knife and stab another person in the head. The suspect fled, with Sun and Picillo in pursuit. The foot pursuit continued to the fourth level of the Terminal B parking garage, where the suspect stopped, turned and put his hand in his jacket pocket. Read More
Rest in peace, Miami Beach, Florida, Police Officer David Cajuso (EOW 10/28/2025). Police Officer Cajuso, a motorcycle patrol officer, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 75.
