In Remembrance: Louisiana Deputy Sheriff Christopher Ohlmeyer

Rest in peace, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, Deputy Sheriff Christopher Ohlmeyer (EOW 1/30/2026). Deputy Ohlmeyer, a motorcycle officer, was assigned to a funeral escort when he was struck and killed by a vehicle while stopping traffic. Deputy Ohlmeyer was 41 years old and had served with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office for 15 years. He is survived by his wife and two children. Christopher, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace. In Remembrance: Nassau County Police Officer Patricia Espinosa

The members of the Port Authority PBA are saddened by the loss of Nassau County Police Officer Patricia Espinosa (EOW 1/31/2026).

Police Officer Espinosa was killed by an alleged drunk driver early Saturday morning while on her way to report for duty. She had served the people of Nassau County with dedication and courage since 2017 and previously served as a New York State correctional officer for four years. Officer Espinosa was 42 years old and is survived by her husband and 2-year-old daughter. Read More

In Remembrance: Tennessee Deputy Sheriff Derrick Bonham

Rest in peace, Weakley County, Tennessee, Deputy Sheriff Derrick Bonham (EOW 1/30/2026). Early Friday morning, Deputy Bonham responded to a local hotel for a shots-fired call. Once on scene, the shooter was observed in a vehicle and began firing, fatally striking Deputy Bonham. He was 38 years old and a two-year veteran of the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department. The 17th annual Irish Echo Law and Order Awards were presented to law enforcement officers from various agencies by the Irish Echo newspaper on Friday evening, January 23, at the Franklin Grand Central Hotel. “This annual event celebrates the brave men and women in law enforcement who work hard to keep us safe and to keep society running smoothly,” the Irish Echo stated. Prayers for Texas Senior Police Officer Alexandria Cano Castro After Line-of-Duty Shooting

Prayers for Corpus Christi, Texas, Senior Police Officer Alexandria Cano Castro, who is in critical condition after being shot in the line of duty. Officer Cano Castro and other officers were attempting to arrest a homicide suspect on Friday, January 23, when the suspect produced a handgun and opened fire. Officer Cano Castro was shot in the head. Two other officers were also shot and have since been released from the hospital. Read More

Rest in peace Bossier Parish, Louisiana, Deputy Sheriff Tim Jordan (EOW 1/21/2026). Deputy Jordan was struck and killed by a train while working a traffic assignment. He was 40 years old and had served four years with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office. He is survived by his wife and two children. Tim, rest in the Lord’s eternal embrace.
