A Message From the PBA President

May 27, 2026 by 911MEDIA

Clearly, unions representing workers can be strongest when we stand together as a unified force. Working together, we’ve achieved significant Tier 5 and 6 pension system improvements for our members.

These are real improvements, significantly more impactful than in prior years, and they’ll result in real, tangible financial benefits for our members, both during active duty and in retirement.

We appreciate the support of our legislators who voted for the passage of the budget, and we are thankful to the governor for signing it. That said, we will continue our tier equity endeavors going forward.

I’d like to recognize the nonstop efforts of Recording Secretary Shaun Kehoe, First Vice President Mike Mollahan, retired PBA President Bing Markee, and the Executive Board and Legislative Committee of PCNY, including our counterparts in the Nassau, Suffolk and MTA Police Unions.

Frank Conti
President
